About FarmAndCultureNetwork

FarmAndCultureNetwork is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered and operational  in Helsinki, Finland and Ghana respectively.

Our mission is to promote cultural activities of African heritage in Europe and create farm projects for unemployed youth in Africa.

FarmAndCultureNetwork was founded with a vision to bridge the gap between cultures and empower the youth. Our passion for promoting African heritage, multicultural activities and creating sustainable farm projects for unemployed youth in Africa drives us every day.

With a focus on cultural events promotion, youth empowerment farm projects, and fundraising for African agriculture, we are committed to making a positive impact in local communities and beyond.

Role & Opportunities in Finnish and Ghanaian Tourism
FarmAndCultureNetwork is well-positioned to serve as a catalyst in both Finnish and Ghanaian tourism sectors in several ways:

Cultural Tourism Promotion

By organizing events like festivals (e.g. Adinkrafest Helsinki) that showcase African music, dance, visual arts and food, the organization can attract both locals and international visitors interested in multicultural experiences. (farmandculturenetwork.org) Such festivals help Finland diversify its cultural tourism offerings, appealing to tourists looking for unique cultural encounters beyond the usual Nordic themes.

Rural & Agricultural Tourism in Ghana

The farm projects can become tourism sites themselves—offering farm stays, agro-volunteering, eco-tours, or educational tours. This not only strengthens local communities but also draws tourists who are interested in sustainable agriculture and experiential travel. Ghana can benefit by creating new income streams in rural areas and showcasing its agricultural heritage.

Linking Diaspora and Heritage Tourism

Many people of Ghanaian or broader African heritage living in Finland and Europe may seek opportunities to reconnect with their roots. FarmAndCultureNetwork can facilitate heritage tourism—cultural visits, ancestral tourism, storytelling, crafts, and traditional food experiences. Finnish tourists might be interested in organized tours to Ghana to engage with culture, agriculture, and social impact projects.

Educational and Sustainable Tourism Partnerships

Collaborations with universities, schools, and cultural institutes in both countries can lead to tourism-educational packages: study tours, workshops, exchange programs that focus on agriculture, culture, sustainability. Such offerings align well with growing global demand for responsible and sustainable tourism.

Events & Festivals as Travel Draws

Events such as Adinkrafest Helsinki can act as anchor occasions that bring in tourists for a reason to travel. These can be marketed internationally, paired with travel/infrastructure/tour packages.

Additionally, showcasing Ghana’s arts, culture, music in Finland promotes Ghanaian culture abroad, boosting “cultural awareness tourism.”
